As 2016 draws to a close so did THE HUNT miniseries with the final issue having hit the stores on the 21st December. Due to this, I've decided to pop up the entire first issue to the blog in celebration of it's completion.
I'm very pleased with how it all came together and delighted with the reception it received both critically and from readers. It garnered quite a dedicated fanbase and following and I want to thank everyone who reached out to us with a kind word- your feedback and enthusiasm for the book was greatly appreciated. I'm happy to report that issues #1 and #2 sold out at distributor level. Thanks also to the various comicbook retailers who gave their support (Forbidden Planet, Big Bang Comics in Dublin, and my local shop here in Vancouver, Golden Age Collectables, to name but a few) and to my friends and family who kept me focused and somewhat 'sane' while obsessing over this project for the good part of a year.
The book wouldn't exist without the participation of my partners-in-crime, Joana Lafuente and Jim Campbell. Their combined talents raised the bar at every turn and made for a very easy and pleasurable collaboration. And, of course, a sincere thank you to my publisher, Jim Valentino at Image/Shadowline for having faith in the project and actually getting the book out there.
I loved writing these characters and hope to return to the world of THE HUNT at some stage.
I feel like we've only just scratched the surface...
