THE HUNT SOLICIT #1

This may very well be a career high for me.

Not only am I getting to create, write, and draw a horror book that is set in Ireland and deal with subject matter that I've always had a deep connection and fascination with, but I'm also lucky enough to be having it published through Image Comics; this is the same company that publishes The Walking Dead, Saga, Southern Bastards and a number of other amazing titles. Not too shabby.

I also get to hangout with Joana, who quite literally makes everything shine. Joana sees colour in a very unique way and it's a genuine joy to see what she brings to the page. Never have I been so in tune with a fellow artist. Jim Campbell kindly agreed to do the letters for us and he's just a master of placement and subtlety. And of course, there's the legend that is Jim Valentino, the publisher who decided to run with it. Jim's always been very supportive of my work and it's a pleasure to be back at Shadowline with him.
Another plus is that I've also got to reconnect with some old Irish friends who are very kindly helping out in various ways, from gathering photo ref, to reading the odd script draft to make sure my dialogue is ringing true: "Fuck's Sake!" or "Fuck Sake!" you know, that kinda thing.

I don't wax lyrical too much on social media, but I'm very proud of this one and everyone involved.

Cheers!
