Trick 'r Treat

Michael Dougerty's movie Treat'r Treat is finally being released on Oct the 6th after two years of distribution limbo! I had a viewing of it today and I have to say it is one of the best gene films of its kind and it seems ridiculous that it never received a major theatrical release.

It is brilliantly written, has a great cast and is beautifully shot. The last good anthology movie I watched of this type was back with the Amicus Productions of such movies as Dr. Terror's House of Horrors, Asylum or Tales from the Crypt...seriously it has been that long.

With rubbish like Zombie's Halloween 2 and Saw 37 getting major release, it a real shame that a little gem such as this had to sit for two years while Warner Bros decided what to do with it. However now with it's imminent release on DVD I am sure it's going to be around for quite some time to come and gain the recognition and acclaim it so deserves.

Highly recommended!!

Every blogger who has mentioned attending a viewing of this has loved it. I loved the clips and trailers I have seen, and I cannot wait to lay eyes on it myself.

Fun!

I'm with you on that. i was watching Observe and Report yesterday and the trailer for Trick or Treat was on there and i was thinking the same thing. cpappy horror movies seem to come out every week and for the most part the trailers look so bleeh. Trick's trailer is so well done.

glad to hear it was worth the wait but a shame no one will get to see it in the theatre where horror movies are usually the best place to see them. October 6 can't get here soon enough.
